FAQs Botox®
1
What is Botox®?
Botulinum toxin is a medication that has been used for medical purposes for a very long time. As a side effect of the medical effect, wrinkle smoothing was observed in the 1990s, so that Botox® found its way into aesthetic medicine. Botox® acts on the transmission of stimuli between nerves and muscles. Targeted injections make it possible to reduce muscle activity and thus relax the muscle.

How does a Botox® treatment work?
Before the Botox® treatment, we will discuss all the details of the treatment procedure. Your skin will then be disinfected. As extremely fine needles are used, you should hardly notice the injections.
The botulinum toxin is now injected specifically into the muscles whose activity is to be reduced. The injections are given in precisely measured doses.
3
How long does the minimally invasive procedure take?
The Botox® treatment itself only takes about 10 - 20 minutes. Including preparation, you should allow about half an hour for your appointment.
4
When are the results of a Botox® treatment visible and how long does it last?
The first smoothing effect is visible just a few days after the first treatment. However, 14 days will pass before your desired result is achieved. After this time, I carry out a check-up and can further optimize your result if necessary. This service is part of my individualized treatment for each patient.
The effect of the Botox® treatment lasts on average around 3 - 6 months and can then be repeated as required.
